If you have any questions or concerns, please post them below and we'll be happy to answer them ASAP.

ON CHARACTERS

Q. How many characters can I have?

A. You start with TWO free character slots, but you may have many as you like, though they must be earned with EXP.

Q. How many characters can I app at a time?

A. One at a time, please. App your fist character and you'll earn your second with activity checks.

Q. What race can my first character be?

A. Your first character must be human, although they can be Tarnish or Absolute.

Q. Can my first character be a cyborg, since that's technically still human?

A. Yes, your first character can be a cyborg as long as their cybernetic parts are not weaponized. If you would like to weaponize them later, you can purchase a 'weapon upgrade' from the shop and revamp your character accordingly.

Q. What happens when my character dies?

A. Your character will only die if you decide that he should die. While the city of Abbadon is a dangerous place, we will never actually kill your character. If, however, you decide to kill your character off, you can always create another one and continue to play.

ON TECHNOLOGY

Q. Have alien technologies reached Abbadon?

A. Yes. Several advancements from alien planets and colonies have been integrated into Abbadon's everyday life. Meat production, for example, was an alien idea. If you have an idea for technology, please ask.

Q. Are there holograms?

A. Yes. Holograms are used for all kinds of media and communication. Holograms can be any size and are usually opaque with bright colors. However, they are always intangible.

ON TARNISH

Q. What is Tarnishism?

A. Tarnishism, or being Tarnish, is a genetic mutation found in humans that is manifested differently depending on the individual. Nobody knows what causes the dissimilarities between mutations but it could be anything from genetics, to hormones, to disposition.

Q. Are Tarnish born as Absolute?

A. No. Because Tarnishism is a genetic disorder, Tarnish children are born with their idiosyncrasies. However, some physical traits do not manifest until puberty such as coloration, horns, fangs, or claws, although some Tarnish children are born with their mutations already intact.

Q. Can I catch/spread Tarnishism?

A. No. Since Tarnishism is not a disease or virus, it is embedded in genetic code. The only person you can spread your Tarnishism onto is your offspring. If you are not Tarnish, congratulations, you never will be!

Q. Can a Tarnish child be born from two Absolutes or if neither parent is Tarnish?

A. Yes. Even if you are Absolute, you have the possibility of carrying the Tarnish gene. It can lay dormant in parents and is a recessive trait. Most children from double Absolute parents and most Nonsecs of Absolute origin will be born without the physical traits of Tarnishism, but it is possible for two Absolutes to bare a Tarnish child.

Q. Are scientists working on a cure?

A. Most biomedical resources are being channeled toward the study of Tarnishism and what causes it. So far, so little is understood about the disorder that the idea of a cure is still far off, though it's safe to say it is something they strive for.

ON ANDROIDS

Q. Are androids antonymous, or do they always take subservient roles?

A. Androids are, for the most part, their own people. AI has advanced enough for androids to be self-aware and self-sustaining, though keep in mind that androids were originally constructed to serve in a human's stead in fields like medical care, retirement communities, brothels, high-end retail, etc, and although they are their own person, remnants of this 'original purpose' would still be prevalent.
